Rolling Stone Presents: Amplified brings the history of rock ‘n’ roll to life with a dynamic mix of music and visuals. The show is a guided tour through the story of revolutionary music and the changes it brought. Amplified draws from rare live performance and behind- the-scenes footage, never-before-seen moments, exclusive portrait sessions, album art, and posters, delivering one of the most comprehensive collections of rock ‘n’ roll imagery ever assembled. Amplified includes the work of 500 photographers and film directors – like Mark Seliger, Danny Clinch, Lynn Goldsmith, Anton Corbijn, Bob Gruen, Jim Marshall, Neal Preston, Janette Beckman, and Pooneh Ghana – who took risks and pushed boundaries, just like the musicians they immortalized. Rolling Stone Presents: Amplified aligns with ARTECHOUSE’s commitment to connecting the public with innovative, immersive art experiences and using its cutting-edge technology platform for cultural and artistic storytelling, offering visitors a dynamic, multi-sensory journey through the worlds of music, art, and technology.
Adapted by ARTECHOUSE Studio for the New York location, Amplified was originally produced by Illuminarium Experiences and created by Brand New World Studios in partnership with Rolling Stone. Brad Siegel, whose transformative leadership at TNT, TCM and Cartoon Network shaped contemporary media, and Rolling Stone veteran Jodi Peckman are Executive Producers. Peckman also serves as Photography and Film Curator. Meghan Benson is Director of Photography. Joe Levy is Executive Editor and Music Supervisor. Design and Visual Narrative are by Pentagram principals Abbott Miller and Emily Oberman. Motion Design is by Good Company. Sound Design is by Academy Award winner Peter Lehman. Kevin Wagner is Supervising Producer.
In addition to the New York City premiere, Amplified is currently playing at ARTECHOUSE Houston, and Illuminarium, Las Vegas. “Rolling Stone Presents: Amplified is the ultimate immersive rock experience, a journey through rock ‘n’ roll and its impact on popular culture,” says Executive Producer Brad Siegel, Founder of Brand New World Studios. “It’s full of breathtaking images and music, but we knew it needed to be more than a wild ride; it needed to be a story that explored the impact of the soundtrack of our lives because stories bring people together, help us interpret our experiences and find meaning.”
“Music imagery is about experiences,” says Jodi Peckman, Executive Producer and former Creative Director of Rolling Stone. “It’s about the unbridled joy of concerts and our connection to our favorite artists. Every picture tells a story and Rolling Stone Presents: Amplified has hundreds of stories to tell.”
“Bringing Amplified to New York City—where Rolling Stone has been based for decades—feels especially meaningful,” says Joe Levy, Writer and Music Director of Amplified, and former Music Editor, Rolling Stone. “New York has been at the heart of so many important artists, so we’re thrilled to debut this powerful, immersive celebration of rock ‘n’ roll and its legacy here.”
Unique to the ARTECHOUSE experience is its Extended Reality (XR) Bar, offering an interactive experience through cocktails and mocktails to enhance visitor engagement with Rolling Stone Presents: Amplified. Blending cutting-edge XR technology with craft mixology, drinks come to life through exclusive XR activations, accessible via ARTECHOUSE’s XR mobile app, available from the App Store or Google Play.– Click above to see video from Rolling Stone Presents: Amplified, An Immersive Rock Expereince at ARTCHOUSE NYC.
